TEST HAS BEEN MOVED

Hello gang: I've moved the 2nd test to the 13th (not this Friday, but the next). Cut you guys some slack. This will allow us to instead watch "The Old Dark House" and continue our discussion on the "dark house" genre. We will also have a review, so be prepared with questions to ask to better prepare you for the exam, which will most certainly be the next Friday!

  1. What exactly do we need to know for the test? We don't have a whole lot of notes (by my records, that is), so is this going to be a film-heavy test?

  2. The test will be similar to the last test. We've discussed the films of Lon Chaney, Carl Dryer's "Vampyr", we've talked about the "dark house genre", we've discussed comedy in horror, we've mentioned Barrymore and Houdini, and we'll have a chance to take in "The Old Dark House" since test has been moved, and it will have an introductory lecture as well. There's tons of material there know.

To answer your question, "what will be on the test" the answer is the things we've covered in class for this section.

  3. Same format I assume? Complete with essay question?

  4. Something very similar. Don't worry guys...I'm not going to throw any weird curve-balls at you. Just stuff we've covered in class.

  5. I take pretty thorough notes, so if anyone would like to get together and study with me next week (I'm free Monday after 2pm; I don't know my work schedule yet) that's fine.

I think I have about 12-14 pages of notes at the moment. I expect after next class it will be at least 2 more, plus whatever I write for the review.
